Summer holiday in the heart of the Dolomites
Hiking, biking and relaxing on the Seiser Alm
The Seiser Alm is the largest high alpine pasture in Europe (and the most beautiful, we think). Naturally, there’s plenty of space for your outdoor adventures. Sporty or relaxed, in hiking boots or on a bike. Your alpine summer in the Dolomites will be unforgettable!
Hiking
Hike leisurely across blooming alpine meadows or undertake a challenging summit tour. Take in the breathtaking view over the Dolomites. Enjoy a typical South Tyrolean “Marende” on the sun terrace of the mountain huts. This makes hiking really fun!
Biking
Riding on an e-bike across the alpine meadows. Cycle comfortably from village to village. Or pure action on the single trails and downhill over bumpy root networks. Which bike experience is yours? When biking around the Seiser Alm, you have the choice: a network of 600 kilometres of cycle paths at two altitudes awaits you. You can hire an e-bike directly in Castelrotto.
Climbing
The Dolomites are the favourite destination of many climbing fans. Look forward to legendary routes around the Sciliar, Sassolungo and Sassopiatto and in Val Gardena! Steep gullies, mighty rock faces and narrow ridges form a climbing paradise for adrenaline junkies and all those who want to try out a via ferrata for the first time.
Swimming
Relaxing for a day or refreshing yourself in the cool water on hot days? The outdoor pool in Telfen near Castelrotto and the natural swimming lake Völser Weiher in the forest are great places to laze around.
Running
Jogging from village to village or marathon training in the mountain air: with 27 running routes and around 240 kilometres of running trails, the Running Park Seiser Alm is a popular running paradise.
